Adoration of the Blessed SacramentAdoration is an opportunity to deepen one’s prayer life by spending time before the Blessed Sacrament. Adoration and Benediction is available every Monday from 3pm-6pm at OLGC. There is always help needed for those that would like to sit in for anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour Adoration.

Altar ServersAltar servers assist the celebrant during Masses and other liturgical events. They must have received their First Holy Communion. Training is scheduled throughout the year.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy CommunionThe extraordinary ministers help distribute Eucharist at all liturgies. They need to be prayerful, hospitable, well-trained, and have a deep appreciation and reverence for the Eucharist.

GreetersGreeters need to arrive 20 minutes before the liturgies begin. Greeters welcome all those coming to worship at each of the weekend liturgies. They need to have a welcoming and friendly attitude toward all who attend the liturgies.

LectorsLectors proclaim the first and second readings at Sunday and Holy Day Liturgies. These well-trained people of prayer will prepare and reflect upon the readings before proclaiming them at the liturgy.

Online Prayer ChainThe Online Prayer Chain provides an opportunity to request prayers, as well as to pray for those who have special needs or requests.

These extraordinary ministers of the Eucharist take communion to those who are hospitalized, home-bound, or in retirement homes or centers. They visit and pray with individuals for strength and healing.

Sacristans
Sacristans prepare the church for the celebration of the liturgy. They care for and prepare the sacred objects and books used during the liturgy. They assist liturgical ministers by giving guidance and instruction as needed.

UshersUshers help create a welcoming environment at Mass as they assist in seating and/or offering those needing extra assistance. They are also responsible for taking up the collection and assisting with logistics at special events.
